JOE LESTER is a freelance photographer based in Los Angeles, Ca. specializing
in Live Music Photography. He was born on Kodiak Island, Alaska and moved to
Seattle, Wa. at age 10. At age 14 he discovered a passion for music, guitar & rock
n roll. In high school, he started sneaking a Kodak Disc camera into concerts and
became enthralled with trying to capture images of his favorite bands. In 1987 he
moved to Los Angeles to attend Pepperdine University and try and make a career
as a full time musician. Eventually, music took a back seat to photography, and in
2013, he became the House Photographer for the House of Blues in Hollywood,
Ca. giving him access to some of music’s greatest artists.
