Janet Kotwas is a Rochester, NY native and currently resides in San Clemente, California. She studied Professional Photography at Colorado Mountain College, which led to a publishing internship in Aspen and then interned for accomplished photojournalist James Nachtwey in New York. After years of managing studios for a variety of established photographers, Janet stepped out on her own. Her sport, travel and portraiture work has won multiple international photography competitions as well as national awards. She currently works for international construction firm, Tutor Perini Corporation, as an architecture photographer, travels on a regular basis for assignment and non-profit work and has been actively Freelancing since 2006. Though she enjoys the challenge and adventure of travel photography Janet ultimately dreams of living in the country, surrounded by the high Rocky Mountain peaks of Colorado.
