GAIL ORENSTEIN has been a photojournalist for 26 years during which she has worked in 53 countries in Asia, the Middle East, the Americas, Africa and Europe. Gail has covered political unrest, revolutions, natural disasters and wars in such locations as Albania, Russia, India, Israel, Egypt, Spain and Greece. She has worked as a photographer for The Chicago Immigration and Naturalisation office, for The Hillary Rodham Clinton Foundation, the Christian Children’s fund in Haiti documenting the AIDS outbreak. She covered the work of Eastern Europe European Outreach in Ukraine and Russia where she documented the lives of Russian prisoners. Gail has lived and worked in London for 15 years, and also teaches documentary photography to teens.
