The photography and writing of TRACY BARBUTES has been featured throughout the world in print, on the web and in photo stock agencies, including National Geographic Magazine, Alaska Stock Images, international adventure travel and outfitter catalogs and McClatchy Newspapers, to name a few. She specializes in the great outdoors, and has photographed Alaska’s Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race and is relieved evacuation orders have been lifted so that she may document California’s ongoing Rim Fire.
She is a member of American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP), National Press Photographers Association (NPPA) and San Francisco Bay Area Press Photographers Association (SFBAPPA). Barbutes is based in Northern California near Yosemite National Park, and returns regularly to South-central Alaska, where she lived full-time for nearly seven years.
