Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge is a bridge built on the northern side of the Bosphorus facing the Black Sea. Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge is named after Selim I, the ninth Ottoman sultan and the first Ottoman caliph. Yoros Castle, located on the Anatolian side and on the eastern side of the Black Sea entrance of the Bosphorus, was founded in 1262 to control the entrance of the Bosphorus.
