July 4, 2024, Assam India: In the monsoon season, heightened rainfall leads to significant swelling of certain rivers, prompting them to overflow and inundate surrounding areas, leading to extensive flooding. As of now, the floods have claimed at least nine lives and impacted over 1.5 million individuals.
