October 4, 2024, Hong Kong, China: Staff of the PETA Asia Pacific Office staged a protest outside The Egyptian Consulate General in Hong Kong condemning Egypt’s ongoing animal abuses, calling for a banning of animal rides at the Pyramid tourist sites at once. In Egypt, camels and horses are part of the tourist spots of Pyramids at Giza, where these animals are forced to engage in daily non-stop slavery without given water, food and rest, entertaining visitors by being ridden by tourists from morning until evening.
