ZUMA is sad to report that photojournalist ANAS ALKHARBOUTLI was killed on December 4, 2024 in an airstrike on Morek, near the city of Hama, Syria. Alkharboutli was covering the rebel offensive, according to his employer the German news agency Deutsche Presse-Agentur (DPA). Alkharboutli’s work was featured in many zReportage issues, as recent as last week.
