November 21, 2024, Hong Kong, China: China PLA Navy Amphibious Assault Ship, pennant number 31, HAINAN is seen anchored at the Western Pier on the Hong Kong Island. HAINAN, is the lead ship of the Type 075 Landing Helicopter Dock of the PLA Navy commissioned on 23-April, 2021. It is the largest and latest amphibious assault ship of the PLA Navy so far which is capable of carrying nearly 30 helicopters on board, also equipped with dock, able to be used as ‘mothership’ for amphibious vehicles landing crafts and air-cushioned landing craft.
