
January 7, 2025, Lhasa, Tibet Autonomous Region, China: Rescuers conduct rescue work at a village in Changsuo Township of Dingri County in Xigaze, southwest China’s Xizang Autonomous Region. A total of 95 people have been confirmed dead and 130 others injured as of 3 p.m. Tuesday, after a 6.8-magnitude earthquake jolted Dingri County in Tibet. The earthquake struck at 9:05 a.m. (Beijing Time), with the epicenter located in Tsogo Township. There are 27 villages and approximately 6,900 people within a 20-km radius of the epicenter.
