
March 10, 2025, Gulf Of Oman, Iran: Chinese People’s Liberation Army Navy guided-missile destroyer Baotou (133) during joint military drills between Iran, Russia, and China in the Gulf of Oman. China, Russia, and Iran will conduct the Security Belt 2025 joint naval drills starting March 11 in Chabahar, Iran. The exercises, focused on maritime threat response, rescue operations, and maneuvering, aim to strengthen military cooperation and trust among the three nations. As China and Iran continue backing Russia in its war against Ukraine, the drills highlight deepening ties between the authoritarian allies amid growing divisions in the West.
