
May 28, 2025, Elkton, Oregon, USA: Feral honey bees interact at the edge of their hive, hidden in a crack in the concrete of a loading dock behind a fruit processing barn near Elkton in rural southwestern Oregon. Though originally imported from Europe, honey bees have naturalized across North America and play a vital role in pollinating both crops and wild plants.
