ZUMA’s Aristidis Vafeiadakis has been awarded an honorable mention prize in the 2025 International Photography Awards for his photograph of a Pelican over Kerkini Lake in Greece.

Lake Kerkini is located in northern Greece, in the region of Serres, near the border with Bulgaria. It is one of the country’s most important wetlands and is protected under the Ramsar Convention.
