
October 12, 2025, Hong Kong, China: In Hong Kong, a PRC national flag flies on the pole inside a Buddhist Temple compound. Under Hong Kong National Security Law, many Buddhist Temples and Taoist Monasteries are now displaying PRC national flags, outside or inside the Temples, as a sign of Buddhist and Taoist communities ‘gesture of faith’ to the Chinese Communist Party rule.
