Scott Mc Kiernan Presents zReportage.com Issue #972 Story of the Week: Published TUESDAY January 21, 2025: ‘The LONG WAR’ by ZUMA Partner agency Ukrinform photo-journalist Dmytro Smolienko: The recent holiday season brought no respite in Ukraine, but rather an escalation and expansion of the fighting, the UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs stated. The ‘long war’ scenario would require Ukraine to continue fighting with limited resources while trying to rebuild damaged infrastructure and sustain the economy and social welfare system. The U.S. has finally allowed Ukraine to strike Russian territory with long-range missiles following massive Ukrainian bombings of its power grid. With the Biden administration now over, the uncertainty of the Trump era begins, and the terms of any future negotiations are being fought over on day 1,062 of the war. Welcome to ‘The LONG WAR’

January 16, 2025, Pacific Palisades, California, USA: A Los Angeles Police Officer looks at a burnt Tesla and tries the nearly impossible task of finding a Vin number before the recently arrived tow trucks take them away to an impound yard. These are the now infamous abandoned vehicles left on Sunset Blvd in Pacific Palisades during the first day of the Palisades fire when drivers, being chased by deadly flames, experienced a bottleneck in this area close to PCH, and thus ran from cars for their lives, taking their keys, and causing more of a road block, as they escaped towards the sea. The owners and insurance agents will be able to retrieve the damaged and still intact vehicles free of charge and with no ticketing, according to the police.
