September 21, 2025, Manila, Philippines: Gen Z protesters scuffled with the police as they tried to reach the Malacanang compound during a mass protest, the ”Trillion Peso March” to rally against corruption. The demonstrations, organized by various civil society groups, church leaders, student councils and youths aim to call for greater transparency and accountability in government spending including the controversial ”ghost” flood-control projects. Also this date is symbolically significant as it coincides with the 53rd anniversary of the declaration of martial law by former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. 

Some protests turned violent, with masked individuals clashing with police near Malacañang Palace, leaving dozens injured and two civilians dead.

October 4, 2025: Hundreds of demonstrators marched through central Stockholm today in support of Palestine. Participants carried Palestinian flags, chanted slogans and walked in a procession through the city center.
