May 5, 2024, Cambridge, MA: MIT students from the MIT Coalition for Palestine have set up a tent encampment by Kresge Auditorium near the MIT Student Center call for MIT to cut ties with the Israeli Ministry of Defense and stop doing research for the Israeli Military. Two days ago pro Israel groups held a counter demonstration creating a memorial site with photography of Israelis killed on October 7, 2024 by Hamas forces, and hung Israeli flags on the fence that MIT has surrounded the camp with.

In this social housing experiment, homeless people get an apartment and support. Everyone is hopeful, excited to help, but they’re also wondering: Will this work?
