June 11, 2020, Valencia, Carabobo, Venezuela: Without respecting the social distancing recommended by the WHO, World Health Organization, as a preventive measure against Covid-19, coronavirus. The numbers of people affected daily in Venezuela exceed one hundred, after the return from quarantine. During three months of quarantine (March, April and May) the numbers of people affected daily did not exceed 10 suspected cases per day. The Pan American health organization called on governments not to neglect the rules of prevention against the pandemic. The photo shows that people walking without respecting a social distancing, in the main street of the city Carabobo.

July 6, 2020, Buenos Aires, Federal Capital, Argentina: Falling rates in economic activity, a rampant deficit and a feared escalation in unemployment and poverty rates reveal how the health crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic shakes the foundations of the already weak Argentine economy. The arrival of the Covid-19 prompted the Alberto Fernü¡ndez government to adopt strict measures of social isolation at the end of March, which paralyzed the economy in April and, although the restrictions relaxed somewhat in May and June. In July they tightened again, especially in Buenos Aires and its periphery, where most of the country’s economic activity is concentrated..It is estimated that around 1,400,000 jobs have been lost since Social, Preventive and Mandatory Isolation was decreed, which produced a lethal economic paralysis.
