September 4, 2025, Berlin, Germany: At Berlin’s Messe fairgrounds on Thursday, September 4, 2025, more than 70 companies pulled back the curtain on the next wave of consumer technology at ShowStoppers @ IFA, the official media reception of Europe’s largest electronics trade show. The three-hour, invitation-only event brought together hundreds of journalists from more than 50 countries to get a first look at advances ranging from artificial intelligence and virtual reality to smart-home devices, robotics, health tech, and mobility solutions. Unlike the sprawling IFA show floor, ShowStoppers is designed as a focused showcase. Companies, from global brands to early-stage startups, set up tabletop demonstrations, offering hands-on access to products and direct conversations with executives and engineers. The aim: to cut through the noise of a crowded trade show and connect directly with reporters, analysts, and industry influencers. Organizers said the format has become a crucial launchpad for new products, driving media coverage and international exposure. For journalists, the evening doubles as a preview of what will dominate the IFA exhibition halls in the days ahead.

Hradec Kralove hosted a spectacular launch of eighty-one hot-air balloons during this year’s largest European gathering of its kind. The simultaneous lift-off from one location established a Czech record for the highest number of balloons taking off at the same time. The festival continues until Sunday, 7 September 2025, with participants from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the Netherlands, Germany and Hungary.
