January 8, 2025, Altadena, California, U.S.A: A house near the corner of Glenrose and Loma Alta Drive bursts into flame and black, noxious smoke in the residential neighborhood of East Altadena, next to Pasadena, in Los Angeles, California. The of the owner of the house gazes at his home, burning down, totally devastated. The flames were fanned by the hurricane-strength Santa Ana winds. Most of the homes have been decimated and dozens are still bursting into flames and smoldering in this area.

Evacuation orders are in place for areas in Altadena, Pasadena and Sierra Madre after a fast moving brush fire broke out Tuesday night. The new blaze grew to 1000 acres in a matter of hours.
