January 10, 2025, Altadena, California, USA: American movie-star JENNIFER GARNER, 52, volunteers to help victims of Eaton Fire. Garner revealed a friend from church perished in LA wildfire disaster. On Friday, the actress, 52, partnered with World Central Kitchen and Chef José Andrés to feed firefighters and evacuees from the Los Angeles wildfires from a Jack in the Box parking lot in Altadena. Dressed casually for the occasion in jeans, a zip-up sweatshirt and baseball cap, Garner carried a box of food from the truck out to those waiting. The mom-of-three resides in Brentwood, a neighborhood next to the largely destroyed Pacific Palisades neighborhood. “I did lose a friend, and for our church, it’s really tender so I don’t feel like we should talk about it yet,” Garner told a journalist, choking up. “I did lose a friend. She didn’t get out in time.” “I feel almost guilty walking through my house.” She added, “You know, what can I do? How can I help? What can I offer? What do I have to offer with these hands and these walls and the safety that I have?” Garner said Andrés, the chef’ serving those affected by the fires, “is an incredible thing to watch.” “I’ve lived in and around the Palisades for 25 years, so I just think all of us, we want to get our hands into working, somehow, to be helpful,” she continued. “And because of my work with Save The Children, we have a relationship with the chef, and I was able to just say, ‘Can I be with you for the day? January 8, 2025, Altadena, California, U.S.A: A house near the corner of Glenrose and Loma Alta Drive bursts into flame and black, noxious smoke in the residential neighborhood of East Altadena, next to Pasadena, in Los Angeles, California. Evacuation orders are in place for areas in Altadena, Pasadena and Sierra Madre after a fast moving brush fire broke out Tuesday night. The new blaze grew to 1000 acres in a matter of hours.
