Adidas is facing significant backlash following its announcement that supermodel Bella Hadid will be the face of its new marketing campaign for the SL 72 sneaker, originally designed for the 1972 Munich Olympics. The campaign has sparked widespread criticism due to Hadid’s outspoken pro-Palestinian views and accusations of sharing antisemitic content on social media. The controversy centers around the historical context of the 1972 Munich Olympics, where Palestinian terrorists murdered 11 Israeli athletes. Critics argue that choosing Hadid for this campaign is particularly insensitive, given the tragic events associated with the Munich Games. The American NGO StopAntisemitism has been vocal in its condemnation, describing the decision as ”disgraceful.” They accuse Hadid of propagating Hamas-related content and consider her an inappropriate representative for a product linked to such a painful episode in Jewish history. The thousands of individual ants had cleared a pathway for the colony on the move. According to a study published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences in 2022, there are about 20 quadrillion ants on planet earth. The total weight of the 20 quadrillion ants is approximately 12 megatons.

July 18, 2024, Bahaddarhat, Chittagong, Bangladesh: As part of their earlier announced total strike across Bangladesh, quota reform activists staged a blockade at Bahaddarhat in Chittagong. At that time, the police fired rubber bullets and teargas shells to disperse the students. Clashes ensued with both sides pelting bricks and chasing each other. Several people from both sides were injured in the incident. In this incident, including the police, more than half a hundred were injured. Nine people have been killed in this movement across the country today.
