Scott Mc Kiernan presents zReportage.com Issue #943 Story of the Week: Published TUESDAY June 11, 2024: ‘War and Peace: Ukraine’s Impossible Choices’ by ZUMA award winning photographers in Ukraine Svet Jacqueline and Madeleine Kelly: Two years into Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, a Carnegie-sponsored opinion poll found that Ukrainians still believe strongly in their national cause, even as doubts creep in about the path to victory. Ukrainians remain committed to the war effort, are opposed to capitulating to Russian demands, and are far from clamoring for a change in leadership. Still, their expectations for victory remain high as ninety states from around the globe have signed up to attend a June 15, conference aimed at finding a route to sustainable peace in Ukraine and ending the war that started nearly 28 months ago. Welcome to ‘War and Peace: Ukraine’s Impossible Choices’
