May 14, 2023, Istanbul, Turkey: 64 million voters in Turkey go to the polls for the General Elections that will determine the President of Turkey and 600 new deputies of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Voting started at 08:00 in Turkey. The presidential election ballot includes the names of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Muharrem Ince, Kemal Kilicdaroglu and Sinan Ogan, according to the order determined by lottery. The battle for Bakhmut has been the most intense of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, costing thousands of lives on both sides in months of grinding warfare.
