April 25, 2025, Berlin, Berlin, Germany: With blue-and-white flags waving and the aroma of Israeli delicacies filling the spring air, people gathered Friday, April 25, 2025, at Berlin’s Wittenbergplatz to celebrate Israel Day 2025. People came together to honor the Jewish state and its vibrant culture. Israeli Ambassador to Germany Ron Prosor was among the central figures of the event. He emphasized the unbreakable bond between Germany and Israel and the urgent need to push back against rising antisemitism across Europe. Prosor took time to visit several of the vibrant booths and displays lining the square. He spoke with exhibitors offering Israeli street food and explored stands, sharing insights into Israeli history, religion, art, tourism, and education. Joining Prosor was Rabbi Yehuda Teichtal, leader of the Chabad community in Berlin and a tireless advocate for Jewish life in the city.

April 17, Altadena, California, USA: Coyotes wander through the rubble of the Eaton Fire. They roam through the ghost-town-neighborhoods frolicking and scavenging. A pan of one street in Altadena, near Loma Alta Drive, 100 days after the Eaton Fire wiped out over 3000 homes in the multiethnic neighborhood next to Pasadena, CA. One can see most homes on this block have been destroyed.

Scott Mc Kiernan Presents zReportage.com Issue #986 Story of the Week: Published TUESDAY April 22, 2025: ‘FRANCISCUS People’s POPE’ by ZUMA Press award winning photographer who covers The Vatican Evandro Inetti: Pope Francis, who rose from modest means in Argentina to become the first Jesuit and Latin American pontiff, who clashed with traditionalists in his push for a more inclusive Roman Catholic Church, and who spoke out for migrants, the poor and for the health of the planet, died on Easter Monday at the Vatican’s Casa Santa Marta. He was 88. After decades of conservative leadership, Francis tried to reset the course of the Roman Catholic Church, emphasizing inclusion and care for the marginalized over adherence to doctrinal purity within the church. On Easter Sunday, the day before his death, Francis appeared in his wheelchair to bless the faithful in St. Peter’s Square. The Vatican said Francis died of a stroke that put him into a coma and led his heart to fail. Welcome to ‘FRANCISCUS People’s POPE’
