TAYLOR WEIDMAN is a freelance photojournalist based in Southeast Asia. He graduated with a Master’s in Photojournalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University. After working at The Christian Science Monitor, Taylor left the States and has covered news stories for a variety of clients from three continents. His personal work concentrates on the intersection between development and indigenous cultures. Taylor’s award-winning work has been published by Geo France, NPR, The Atlantic, The Boston Globe, and many other outlets. He has published three photography books, and co-founded the Vanishing Cultures Project, an initiative which partners with indigenous groups worldwide to safeguard cultural values and practices.
