Baylee was thrown from the the Stars and Stripes Daycare Center on the first floor of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building when the explosion occurred. A massive fertilizer bomb was detonated in a Ryder Rent-a-Truck. The convicted bomber Timothy McVeigh was executed June 11, 2001 for the act of terrorism. Co-conspirator Terry Nichols is serving multiple life sentences. Baylee, whom later died as one of the 168 victims, had just celebrated her first birthday, one day before the bombing.
