Three transparent glass toilets are set for public use and turn opaque when people enter and lock the door. The Nippon Foundation in collaboration with Tokyo’s Shibuya district government have started the Tokyo Toilet project, which aims to redesign public restrooms to allay fears about safety and hygiene.
