Firmat, Santa Fe, Argentina: Inside the COVID-19 sector, a tired nurse, at the end of her shift, checks on a patient. During the night three patients died, leaving the ICU at half its capacity, but not for too long: just after her shift’s end another COVID-19 patient would be brought, in a life and death dynamic that has been going on for months and has taken its toll in health workers of this little town hospital. The San Martin Hospital has been designated to receive COVID-19 patients in need of intensive care from 13 towns in the area and, according to the Hospital’s Director, Emilio Focco, the mortality index in the ICU is of about 95% (Credit Image: © Patricio Murphy/ZUMA Wire)
