
The Act has been accused of depriving fundamental rights and freedom of religion among existing muslims in India, whereas muslims who encounter religious suppression in neighborhoods will simultaneously be excluded from the eligibility of seeking for amnesty and applying for citizenships, which has become a major factor that forms a great, intact and acute unity along with consistency among the people in India to call for withdrawal of both the CAA and NRC implementations.
This series of photographs taken between 28 Jan and 12 Feb, 2020 captured various moments of how Indian nationals in Mumbai and Delhi, including minors, youngsters and the elderly contributed efforts to the nationwide, ongoing social movement, even though they have been threatened by forceful actions taken by the authority for dispersion toward many congregations, assemblies, marches and sit-ins as well.
Since the commencement of the movement, demonstrators and supporters have started using the national flag of India, portraits of two social activists, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi and Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar as the quintessential, spiritual significations.
