By air, land, and sea, Russia has launched a devastating attack on Ukraine, a European democracy of 44 million people. Its forces are bombing city centers and closing in on the capital, Kyiv, prompting a mass exodus of refugees. A massive, 40-mile convoy of Russian tanks and vehicles appeared to bog down on its push toward the capital of Kyiv while residential areas of Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, were being pounded by Russian shells. Russia has committed about 80% of the combat force President Vladimir Putin deployed to invade Ukraine. Ukrainian resistance is continuing, and it has helped stymie the advance. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky pleaded, by videoconference before MEPs, for the entry ”without delay” of his country into the European Union. ”We must stop the aggressor as soon as possible,” Zelenskyy also tweeted. ”Thank you for your support!” Welcome to: PUTIN’S RAGE: Noose Tightens On Kiev.
