The war in Ukraine has shown how difficult it is to live anything like a normal life when fighting is going on around you. More than 5 million people have fled from the country since Russia invaded 6 months ago, and an estimated 7.5 million are displaced, yet much of the country’s population has remained, and they’re trying to do their work and support their families despite the onslaught. The UN recently reported over 3 million ‘cross-border movements’ back into Ukraine, and Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko said the city’s population was back to two-thirds of its pre-war level.
