
March 25, 2026, Seattle, Washington, USA: Members of a new pack of endangered Mexican Gray Wolves (Canis lupus baileyi) explore their habitat at Woodland Park Zoo on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. The zoo is celebrating Lobo Week, an annual event from March 22-29 that commemorates the 1998 return of the ”lobo” to the wild and raises awareness for the rarest subspecies of gray wolf in North America. This pack, consisting of four 6-year-old brothers named Tamaska, Hayes, Lorenzo, and Benito, arrived from the California Wolf Center as part of the Saving Animals From Extinction (SAFE) initiative.
