October 2, 2026, Madrid, Spain: In a vote, the Congress of Deputies in Madrid rejected the two decrees of housing measures in Spain, one of which would prevent evictions such as Maricarmen’s. The demonstrators who were outside the Congress of Deputies, following, watching and listening to the vote on their cell phones, marched after the vote to the encampment in Puerta del Sol, announcing that they will take measures and that they will not be removed from the site.
