Russia has launched a devastating attack on Ukraine, a European democracy of 44 million people, bombarding its cities and closing in on the capital, Kyiv, prompting a mass exodus of refugees. Putin has shattered peace in Europe and thrown the continent’s entire security structure into jeopardy. The ”enemy” is here. Ukraine now finds itself in a face-off with the Russian bear, its claws sharp, its teeth borne wide. How much hope remains for Ukraine? How much panic is now knocking at our door? Psychological warfare is key to Putin’s toolbox. Propaganda, intimidation and demoralization: But this is nothing new. Ever since 2008, during the NATO Summit in Bucharest, he has led a campaign making territorial claims to Ukraine. Putin has made his move. Ukraine still has hope. But for how long, we cannot say. By air, land, and sea, Russia has launched a devastating attack on Ukraine, a European democracy of 44 million people. Its forces are bombing city centers and closing in on the capital, Kyiv, prompting a mass exodus of refugees. A massive, 40-mile convoy of Russian tanks and vehicles appeared to bog down on its push toward the capital of Kyiv while residential areas of Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, were being pounded by Russian shells. Russia has committed about 80% of the combat force President Vladimir Putin deployed to invade Ukraine. Ukrainian resistance is continuing, and it has helped stymie the advance. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky pleaded, by videoconference before MEPs, for the entry ”without delay” of his country into the European Union. ”We must stop the aggressor as soon as possible,” Zelenskyy also tweeted. ”Thank you for your support!” Welcome to: PUTIN’S RAGE: Noose Tightens On Kiev.
