Venezuela alcanzó los 100 muertos por coronavirus y sumó 10.428 casos

June 11, 2020, Valencia, Carabobo, Venezuela:

 Without respecting the social distancing recommended by the WHO, World Health Organization, as a preventive measure against Covid-19, coronavirus. The numbers of people affected daily in Venezuela exceed one hundred, after the return from quarantine. During three months of quarantine (March, April and May) the numbers of people affected daily did not exceed 10 suspected cases per day. The Pan American health organization called on governments not to neglect the rules of prevention against the pandemic. The photo shows that people walking without respecting a social distancing, in the main street  of the city Carabobo.

June 21, 2020, Sleman, YOGYAKARTA SPECIAL REGION, INDONESIA: Black ash smoke and hot gas from Mount Merapi soared into the sky as high as 6 kilometers (3.7 miles). Mount Merapi, with an altitude of 2,968 meters in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, erupted ash and hot gas into the air accompanied by a roar that was heard up to 12 kilometers from the summit of Mount Merapi. This eruption was recorded on a seismogram with a maximum amplitude of 75 mm and 5 minutes and 28 seconds duration.

zReportage.com Story of the Week #745: TUESDAY July 14, 2020: NIGHT SHIFT COVID19 ICU, by ZUMA Press Newspaper San Antonio Express-News’s 2015 Pulitzer finalist and recently named 2020 Star Photojournalist of the Year by the Headliners Foundation of Texas, Bob Owen and health and medicine reporter Lauren Caruba recent winner of the the Livingston Award for Young Journalists, together they work on special projects. In this zReportage they spent 18 hours in a Texas COVID-19 ICU ward. Alarms were blaring in the COVID-19 intensive care unit. A patient suddenly had awakened in the dark. A breathing tube was threaded down her throat. It was a few minutes before 1 a.m., and her sedatives had worn off. In her room, behind a wall of windows and a closed glass door, she twisted against the wrist restraint that kept her from dislodging the tube. She bit down on the tube and tried to lift her arm.
