May 20, 2022, Plainville, Georgia, USA: Former Georgia Senator David Perdue’s chances of unseating incumbent Republican Gov. Brian Kemp in the 2022 Republican primary May 24 seem to be fading in the final days before voting. Perdue trails Kemp by more than 30 points, according to recent polls..Pictured: Perdue at Bikers for Trump rally in north Georgia. Perdue was heavily endorsed by former President Donald Trump and pushed the theory that the 2020 election results in Georgia were unreliable. (Credit Image: © Robin Rayne/ZUMA Press Wire)

Today left a knot in my stomach. My youngest, Liam is the same age as many of the victims.
I have not felt this since the Sandy Hook shooting when dealing with a school teacher from there…
My heart was heavy as I captioned images from IG, that Katrina Kochneva brilliantly screen captured, of this mad teen’s own page, with his haunting words: KIDS NOT SAFE
And then, helping a Photog via cell, to translate Spanish for one of the parents who lost a boy (9) AND the sobs the parent had… oh my
I felt broken afterwards.
Still do.
Hug your people today.
Here are some of our tears, and not even the best pixs that our newspaper partner San Antonio Express-News made and our Jintak Han’s strong coverage.

The soldier’s intelligence unit, which monitors pro-Russian forces with the use of drones, has been stationed in the region since the self-declared republics of Donetsk and Luhansk broke away from Ukrainian control in 2014. Ukrainian forces have been holding the line in Donbas against Russian-backed separatists since the Kremlin seized Crimea. They’re still holding the line, but what was sporadic fighting turned into a full-blown war. But now Russian and Ukrainian forces appear to be settling into a gruelling and deadly stalemate in Ukraine’s east, amid warnings from a senior US military official that neither side can win in the present circumstances. Russia and Ukraine have made inflated claims about their successes, with assessments from western defense officials in recent weeks often painting a more subdued picture. Pentagon chief Lt Gen Scott Berrier, director of the Pentagon’s Defense Intelligence Agency, suggests neither side winning despite claim by Kyiv that its forces are pushing Russian troops back.
